Dex is the full package: calm, clever, affectionate, and playful. This 5-year-old Kelpie is a true gentleman with a gentle soul and a cheeky streak. He’s social but independent, happy to hang out with you or entertain himself with a tennis ball or his beloved rubber ring. Tug of war? Yes please! Fetch? Absolutely! Hugs and grooming? He’s all in 🥰

Dex rarely barks, responds beautifully to commands like “sit” and “down,” and has even mastered “leave” on occasion. He’s a cruisy character who brings joy without fuss—just a happy, handsome boy with a heart of gold.

🏡 Ideal Forever Home

Dex would thrive in almost any loving home, but he’d especially adore a family that includes him in daily life—outings, activities, and quality time. We'd love him to find a home where he doesn't have to experience long stretches alone - he's had enough of that - so a household with company, whether human or canine, would be ideal.

He’s dog-social but prefers chasing balls to chasing tails, so he’d be just as content as a solo dog or with a relaxed K9 companion. Whether you're a family, a couple, or a single person with time and love to give, Dex will fit right in.

💔 Rescue Story

Dex’s journey began with heartbreak. He was checked into a boarding kennel when his previous owner faced personal challenges—and sadly, never came back for him. But Dex never lost his spirit. He’s been patiently waiting for a second chance at love, and we know his perfect match is out there.

Dex is in great health, fully vaccinated, desexed, and up to date on flea, tick, heartworm, and intestinal worm treatments. He’s ready to go home today—no extra steps, just love.
