Having lived his whole life with another doggy, Ricky is eager to meet and greet every pup he sees. He not only has a beautiful face, but his true beauty shines from deep within. Ricky walks well on a lead, loves to run and play in the yard, and has a spring in his step that shows how much he cherishes every moment. He is pure joy wrapped in fur!

🛟 Ricky‘s Rescue Story
Ricky’s journey is one of heartbreak turned into hope. He was left behind in a rental home when his owner moved out. Thankfully, a caring neighbour and real estate agent stepped in to ensure Ricky was brought into our care quickly. Though he was microchipped and his details were up to date, his owner never responded. Ricky endured his 14-day “impoundment” at Sweet Pea with quiet resilience, and when we finally introduced him to our community, his story touched hearts everywhere. Ricky’s past may be sad, but his future is bright—and he’s ready to be the hero of his own happy ending.

Ricky has had a few lumps and bumps removed and is currently being treated for a skin infection, but otherwise, he’s in tip-top shape. He has good teeth, strong muscles, and no apparent musculoskeletal issues. Ricky is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for ticks, fleas, and intestinal worms. He’s fit as a fiddle and ready to leap into his new life with a family who loves him.
