Bean is a brave little explorer with a heart full of hope. Slightly more confident than his brother, Sprout, Bean is curious, adventurous, and always the first to investigate new toys or visitors. He’s interactive with other rescue cats and has a special bond with Speedy G, his snuggle buddy next door. Bean’s big, rumbling purr when being patted is a testament to how far he’s come. He often positions himself protectively between Sprout and the world, offering quiet reassurance and courage. Despite his early trauma, Bean radiates warmth and resilience.

🏡 Bean's Ideal Forever Home

Bean would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can continue building trust and confidence. He doesn’t need to be adopted with Sprout, but would do well with another gentle feline companion or a human who understands the value of patience and kindness. A quiet household with adults or older children would suit him best, especially one that allows him space to explore and grow at his own pace.

📖 Rescue Story

Born in the garden of a villa in Forster, Bean and Sprout are second-generation homeless kittens. Their mother, herself born on the streets, remains elusive and possibly pregnant again. Bean and Sprout had a third sibling who tragically disappeared. They missed the ideal window for socialisation, but thanks to the care at Sweet Pea they have made incredible progress. Bean has blossomed into a playful, affectionate kitten and his bond with Sprout and Speedy G is a beautiful reminder of the healing power of connection. Sprout has learned to trust, play, and even reach out to touch paws with his friends through the enclosure.

🩺 Bean's Medical History

Bean has endured physical trauma—his ear tip was cut, and his tail had multiple wounds. These injuries were not accidental. He’s received veterinary care and is healing well, with no ongoing medical concerns. He’s up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick, & worm treatments and will be desexed when age-appropriate.
