Rosie & Elsa

Love cats, dogs and kids!

💖 Rosie's Personality

Rosie is a gentle, happy-go-lucky 7-year-old Staffy X with a soft heart and an even softer spot for her camp chair bed. She’s playful, affectionate, and loves chasing toys in the yard with her best friend Elsa. Though she’s a sensitive soul who took a few days to settle in, Rosie now greets each day with joy and curiosity. She’s great on lead, responsive, and adores cats and other doggies. Her calm, sweet nature makes her a delight to be around.

💖 Elsa's Personality

Elsa is a 7-year-old Husky X German Shepherd with stunning blue eyes, a calm, sweet nature and a playful streak. She’s responsive, great on lead, and loves splashing in our little pools. Elsa enjoys yard time, chasing toys, and—true to her Husky roots—singing her heart out! She’s easygoing, affectionate, and adores cats and other dogs. Her loyalty to Rosie is unwavering, and their bond is something truly special.

🏡 Ideal Forever Home

Rosie & Elsa must be adopted together as they are lifelong companions. These two are deeply bonded and would fret terribly without each other. Their ideal home is one that celebrates their bond, and is filled with love, gentle routines, space to play and relax. A family who welcomes their gentle, joyful energy, values connection, understands the beauty of mature dogs, and is ready to embrace two besties as part of their heart and home.

📖 Rescue Story

Originally from Western Australia, Rosie and Elsa made the move to NSW some years ago with their loving owner. They’ve lived their entire lives together, and their bond is unbreakable. The girls were reluctantly surrendered when their owners' living situation changed. While the transition was tough—especially for Rosie, who took a few days to start eating—she’s now thriving in her new routine, enjoying yard time, walks, and cuddles. Elsa has also adapted beautifully. She’s now singing, playing, and soaking up affection from our volunteers.

🩺 Rosie's Medical History

Rosie has had TPLO surgery to repair the cruciate ligament in her left hind leg. Although she experienced some complications during recovery, she has fully healed and now runs, plays, and chases toys with Elsa like a pup again. She’s eating well, active, and loving life.

🩺 Elsa's Medical History

Elsa is in great health and has settled into her new routine with ease. She’s active, playful, and enjoys her daily walks and pool time. She was a little overweight when she arrived, but has steadily been losing weight on her new food and exercise routine. She has no known medical concerns at this time.
